Mahindra & Mahindra after new-gen Scorpio’s exciting launch a couple of weeks back, has revealed an array of new accessories. Owners can now get their New-Gen Scorpio fitted with genuine accessories. Scorpio was launched at an aggressive price tag of Rs.7.98 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). With 6 variants namely; S2, S4, S6, S6+, S8 and the top of the line S10, customers have many options to choose from. The new range of additions have added more value to it. The package offers chrome add-ons on the exteriors while the interiors can be enhanced by additional goodies. This SUV already packs stuff like premium interiors and dual projectors headlamps, rear parking sensors with camera and many other that come in the top S10 variant. Let see in detail what are the new accessories offered with Scorpio.
Exterior accessories: On the outer front, the bruiser gets lots of stylish chrome elements. The front/rear bullbar, rear reflectors, bonnet scoop, etc are all chrome finished. Rally fog lamps from Hella are also on offer. Two alloy wheel options are also available with one being 17-inch and the other being 15-inch. The rear guard bar has a rubber padding in the middle to assist climbing on and off. There are two carriages to facilitate different application, one is for carrying heavy luggage while the other finds use when going offroad. Wheel Caps are also on offer though they don’t get changed and are the same as were in the outgone Scorpio. Other styling element like spoiler with integrated stop light, ski rails and rain visors not only looks good but also adds to the functionality.
Interior accessories: The inside of the SUV can also be customized accordingly with lots of accessories in the list. The most attractive feature inside is the rear passenger entertainment package that offer 7-inch screens integrated at the back of the front headrests. A 9-inch screen with integrated DVD player is also on offer that could be mounted on the headrests. There are roof mounted blower to increase the cooling efficiency of A/C system. Additionally, there are utilities like car inverter to charge mobiles and other electronic stuff on the go. A car refrigerator is also available that could be kept between the rear seats. Stylish floor mats matching the aftermarket upholstery are on the list too.
Scorpio besides being rough and tough, is carved on a completely new platform and comes equipped with a number of safety features like ABS, airbags, speed alert system, child lock along with front and rear proximity sensors and reverse park camera.
Scorpio, already being a better package now gets the chrome dominating package that would surely allure many of the prospective customers, especially at the peak time of festive season ahead. Not to forget, the manufacturer offers many variation in its Scorpio line up. With two tried and tested engines, the 2.5 CRDi and 2.2 mHawk, the Scorpio is yet unruffled in performance. Customers also get to choose from four wheel drive or two wheel drive system. Its a good car inside out and that too at a great price. Currently, Scorpio competes with the likes of Tata Safari Storme and Renault Duster in the segment.
