The largest auto maker of the country - Maruti Suzuki India has always something to offer that can make its customers rejoice their memories. Same thing is being expressed with the introduction of Maruti Celerio AMT ZXi in the country on the first anniversary occasion of this renowned hatch. The newly launched top-end trim Celerio ZXi is packed with all the features offered on the former model but still lacks ABS as a standard element. Launched at Rs. 4.99 lac (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the Maruti AMT car is available for bookings but the deliveries will be commenced in 10 days, said a report.
Speaking about some of the features available in 2015 ZXi AGS trim, the car sports steering mounted audio control, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, Audio player with Bluetooth, CD, USB and AUX-in support. In addition to this, rear wiper with washer and demister, tilt adjustable steering wheel and keyless entry are some of the other attributes that customers would find on the top variant of this car. Besides these, some features have been carried forward from LXi and VXi Celerio to the ZXi AGS variant.
The engine specs in newly launched Maruti car have been kept same since it is just a variant addition in the petrol line-up. The 1.0 litre K10 B naturally aspirated petrol motor can muster a peak power of 68 PS and maximum torque of 90Nm. Being mated with the automatic transmission, the car is claimed to offer 23.1 kmpl mileage figure. Moreover, with the auto gear shift, the carmaker ensures that you will get a peppy and soft drive experience as soon as you sit behind the wheel. The said AGS system in the hatch will free driver from pressing the clutch pedal or changing gears and will make the drive real easy. Getting in more details about the AGS, it is based on an electronic control unit, which controls the hydraulic actuator to regulate clutch and gear shifting. In short, it gives easiness of driving an automatic with the mileage of a manual gearbox.
Talking about Celerio ZXi’s style and design, it is the same curvy car as available in other variants that naturally invites compliments for the beauty. It features a chiseled young-looking body with a better aerodynamics and sheer appeal. The interiors of the new model have been designed very intelligently to provide maximum space and comfort. A roomy cabin, spacious legroom and headroom and a large boot space is something, you won’t like to miss. Well, something more that Indian auto buffs have been waiting for a long time is also said to come in this month only. Yes, the diesel Celerio- one of the most awaited Maruti car is likely to make its entry in the month of May as the carmaker has already started its production at Manesar facility. The newly built 793 cc diesel engine, which Maruti has been working on, will power the upcoming diesel Celerio. This diesel motor will deliver a maximum power output of 58bhp and a peak torque of 150Nm. All set to offer an impressive mileage of around 30kmpl, the vehicle will become country's most fuel efficient means of transport after its introduction in India. As far as transmission is concerned, the upcoming car will get 5-speed manual gearbox to transmit power to the front wheels.
The diesel Celerio will likely to get a price tag around Rs. 80,000 more than the petrol trim and will outshine the image of Chevrolet Beat in the country.
