

Mercedes-Benz, the luxury car maker has recently revealed the sales figures. The company is having a good number of sales and growth in the Indian premium car market. Annual sales figures of the popular German car makers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi are very closely watched by the auto industry, however, Mercedes portfolio for bringing 15 cars in India this year seem to have worked very well. The company has reportedly experienced the overall growth of 43% in the month of August.
The company is continuously blooming in the country and has collected statistics giving its detail of growth in the last nine months. As per the compilation by the company, in the time span from January to September, Mercedes-Benz India has registered a growth of 34% retailing about 10,079 vehicles in the last nine months. It makes the company mark a momentous achievement in the country.
Stuttgart-based luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz has taken a lead over the other rivals like Audi in the first two-quarters. While at the end, it has again managed t! o regain its numero-uno position. For the luxury cars selling 10,000 units have been considered as a milestone. Audi managed to gain the benchmark sell in the year 2013 and continued the same in 2014 by retailing 10,851 units while on the other hand, Mercedes-Benz was not able to achieve the milestone in the year 2013 but has entered Elite group in the year 2014 by selling 10,201 units but in the year 2015, it has already achieved the figures of selling 10,000 units with about 3 months remaining, so the annual record will surely return new results.
Mercedes-Benz traits its growth to the launches that include a number of new cars. The company launched a wide range of vehicles in the various segments such as sedan, SUV, new generation cars and AMG performance vehicles. The car maker is focused on younger demographic and that approach seems to work in the favor.??
Mercedes-Benz India top performers include CLA, C-Class and E-Class sedan and the numbers of sales are also supported by its SUV cars as well. But seeing the record, it seems that sedans have performed pretty well then the SUVs, accounting 39% more sales in past nine months. Portfolio for the SUV have grown by 70% and the most preferred SUV for the company is GLA that closely matched by the M-Class and GL-Class.
Mercedes-Benz SUV range w! ill further get stronger with the addition of new GLE in the segment that was previously named as M-Class and is all set to make its debut in the country on 14th of October 2015. It will mark as the 13th launch in the strategy of ?€?15 models in 2015?€?. Another luxury brand Mercedes-Maybach and the performance car brands like AMG have managed to grab an impressive number of sales. Other launches include C63 S AMG, S63 AMG Coupe, S500 Coupe, S600 Guard, Mercedes-Maybach S600, CLS 250 CDI, AMG S 63 Sedan.
As per the upcoming GLE Class, the car manufacturer is aiming to bring uniformity by starting the initials of the SUVs from the letter G in many of its vehicles. The car will compete against the likes in the segment they are Audi Q5, Land Rover Discovery sport and BMW X3.
