Innova was first introduced in the country in the year 2005 and since its introduction, it has gone through many changes. The next generation model which has been already launched in Indonesia, is more advanced and is loaded with attractive features.

Japanese car maker has also started a new contest for the existing Toyota customers and called it as “The Heritage of Innova”. This new teaser also indicates that company might be planning to launch the vehicle at the upcoming Auto Expo event to be held in Delhi from 5th to 9th February 2016. Before this teaser was launched, around a month back, Innova’s Brochure was also leaked online and it revealed the exterior, interior as well as powertrain of the vehicle. The car will give tough competition to other models in the segment such as Renault Lodgy, Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.

On the design front, new Toyota Innova is very aggressive as compared to its current model. The MPV on the front gets a large radiator grille, wide windshield, big headlamps that are less rounded headlight and flared wheel arches. At the rear end, the car receives multi-layered boot door, fresh tail-lights and restyled bumper. The vehicle is based on a ladder frame platform.

The dashboard design is done very nicely to provide it with an elegant appeal, other features included in the vehicle are the Multi-functional steering wheel, Automatic Climate Control, Parking Sensors along with rear view camera, Infotainment unit and digital MID.

Under the hood, Toyota Innova will be powered by the 2.4 litre GD diesel mill that is capable of producing an output of 147 bhp and peak torque of 380 Nm. The engine will come mated to 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Other major highlight from Toyota at the event would be the new Vios sedan. The car will be a C-segment sedan and will lock horns with some of the experienced players in the segments like Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Ciaz. On the outside, the car will get the same design as the Corolla Furia concept and the radiator grille will be identical and will feature wide air intake. Side profile looks quite sporty with flared wheel arches while the rear profile receives a large wrap around the tail lamp and a large chrome strip that runs across the length.

On the inside, Toyota Vios gets a cabin with a black and beige combination and other features include Automatic climate control, push start button, a theft deterrent system, ABS and steering mounted audio control. Mechanically, the car will be powered by the 1.5-litre petrol mill that can generate power output of 88.7 bhp and maximum torque of 132 NM and a 1.4-litre diesel engine that can churn out the power of 67 bhp and peak torque of 170 Nm.
