Fiat, the Italian Auto giant is preparing to bring its new models in the limelight during the upcoming Auto Expo event, which is scheduled to be held at Delhi between 5 th to 9th of February 2016. Fiat will most probably display the existing vehicles like the Punto Evo and Avventura along with other models including their Jeep line-ups like Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, Punto Pure and the much awaited next-gen Linea or Tipo. So let’s check all the above-listed product in detail.
JEEP WRANGLER
The most talked about car coming to Indian Auto Expo 2016 is Jeep Wrangler. This American SUV will be a fully imported vehicle which is loaded with various off-roading capabilities and luxurious looks. The car was first launched in the year 1986 and was introduced as a successor of Willy Jeep. The present model is the fourth generation of the original. From the outside, it looks like a robust vehicle with muscular appeal and even the inside is more developed with modern features such as steering mounted control, touchscreen display and climate control functions.
Under the bonnet, Jeep Wrangler will be powered by both petrol as well as diesel mills. The 3.6 litre petrol engine can generate power of 285 bhp and peak torque of 352 Nm, while on the other hand, it works on 2.8 litre diesel mill that produces 197hp of power and maximum torque of 451 Nm.
PUNTO PURE
Fiat is re-launching the Fiat Punto as the Punto Pure at the event. Punto Pure will receive the changes on the inside as well as outside and this hatchback will be available in three variants such as Dynamic, Active and Emotion. On the outer profile, the car will see some tweaks and will ride on attractive Italian designed alloy wheels, while on the interior part, we can expect a more refreshed cabin with updated features. Mechanically, the new Punto Pure will work on 1.2 litre and 1.4-litre petrol powertrain and 1.3-litre diesel mill. Punto Pure will lock horns with the similar models in the segment like Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Volkswagen Polo.
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE
Another model which will be displayed is the Jeep Grand Cherokee which is considered as one of the most awaited vehicles to come in India. The vehicle is loaded with advanced off-road features and on the inside, it sport features like Jeep Uconnect Infotainment system, navigation, Bluetooth and adaptive Cruise Control. Coming to it technical specifications, Jeep will receive 3.0-litre diesel powertrain that can produce the power of 236 bhp and will come mated to 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
LINEA 2016 (TIPO)
Next generation Linea was first introduced in Istanbul Auto Show and mesmerized the world with its stylish design and upmarket features inside. Under the bonnet, this car will be powered by the 1.4 litre petrol mill which is capable of producing power output of 145 bhp and peak torque of 212 Nm. The engine will be mated to 5 speed manual transmission.
JEEP CHEROKEE SRT
Another off-road vehicle in the lineup is Jeep Cherokee SRT which is powered by the 6.4 litre HEMI mill that can generate power of 475 bhp and peak torque of 644 Nm. Inside the vehicle is loaded with advanced features such as 8.4 inch touchscreen infotainment unit coupled with 19-speaker sound system.
