KOCHI: In line with the evolving consumer needs, Eveready Industries Ltd has charted out an aggressive growth strategy by entering into new categories in the power sources and lighting space.
The company has launched a new range of powerful batteries to cater to the growing usage of gadgets by urban youth. A series of products in the space of alternative lighting solutions were also introduced for the needs of rural consumers.
Partha Biswas, SBU head of Batteries and Flashlight Business, told reporters here that the products are aimed at providing enlightenment to energy deficient households in the country. This economically viable product will give more light at a reasonable cost.
The Eveready ultima batteries can be used in gadgets like digital cameras, MP3 player, high-end toys and numerous types of medical equipment. Eveready has also launched a range of rechargable batteries based on Nickel Metal Hydride technology.
Eveready will enter into general lighting solutions bulbs category, Biswas said.
