HYDERABAD: Taking a cue from the Biotech cluster in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) will be setting up a Biotech SEZ in Hindupur near the new International Airport at Bengaluru. Spread over 70 acres, the proposed SEZ, which was formally approved by the Board of Approvals, Government of India, early this month, would be developed by Salarpuria Developers.
“Located at a distance of 200 km from Bengaluru, this SEZ is ideal for export-oriented animal biotech projects and Research & Development for Zoonotic diseases such as swine flu, avian flu, etc.”
