MUMBAI: Upbeat on the growth of international schools in India, Kolkata-based Educo Ventures plans to set up at least three more schools in the country by 2015 with an investment of Rs 300 crore, a top official said.

Educo runs the OakTree International chain of schools.

The company, which plans to invest around Rs 100 crore in each project, also wants to expand its network in East Asian countries such as Singapore, the official added.

"We have already set up a school in Kolkata and are seeking an affiliation from the International Baccalaureate (IB). We are investing close to Rs 100 crore in the project and also plan to set up three more schools by 2015," Educo Ventures Director Rishav Kajaria told PTI.

The firm has raised the funds through part equity and partly debt from a syndicate of banks led by Bank of Baroda.
