HYDERABAD: Kent RO Systems Ltd, one of the leading water purifier brand, is planning to further expand its product and customer base.The company, which already has a major stake in the water purifiers market has been betting big on air purifiers and vacuum cleaners. The water purifier maker has unveiled three models of air purifiers and vacuum cleaners each in the city aiming at the Southern market.
“Besides being leaders in water purifier market, we have also been focusing on air purifiers and vacuum cleaners, as indoor air quality has become a huge cause for concern. The reason for us focusing on these products is deteriorating air quality across cities which is leading to lots of health problems. With this launch, we want to address this huge problem and customer segment,” said Mahesh Gupta, CMD of Kent RO Systems.
Meanwhile, Kent is also focusing on increasing its market share. “While RO water purifier industry is growing at 10-12 percent per year, we have grown at 30-35 percent in FY17 and aim to achieve same or more growth even in in FY18,” he said.
The company, which has three manufacturing facilities at Roorkee, is coming up with another manufacturing facility in Greater Noida which has an investment outlay of `100 crore. The facility will be launched during the next six months, he said.Kent has around 12,000 retail outlets and planning to set up 10 experience centres across the nation to provide all its products under one roof for consumers.
