The same happened with Karan Asrani, a leading car dealer based in Mumbai as he recalls getting awarded in 2019 from Mahindra & Mahindra chairman Anand Mahindra. Asrani is the CEO of Krishna Group, one of Mumbai's prominent car dealership outlets. The dealer has its association with leading automobile companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Mahindra First Choice and MyTVS.
Before the pandemic dismantled the automobile sector, the sale of cars had surged in the country. In 2019, Hare Krishan Mahindra, a subsidiary of Krishna Motors, went on to create a record number of car sales; thereby winning the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award by Anand Mahindra. At present, the situation is better, and Asrani is sure to accelerate the number of sales this year as well.
Sharing the memories from his meeting with Anand Mahindra, Asrani said, "It was a moment of honour to receive an award of recognition from the man himself. Not only he congratulated me, but instilled his faith in me by saying that Hare Krishan Mahindra would have a growth in sales of cars in the years to come." As per the numbers, Asrani is all set to have a record number of sales this year.
Not to forget, the beast in the SUV category, Scorpio-N is already dominating the market this year with record sales. Ever since the SUV was launched in the retail market, its pre-bookings have left car dealers amused across the country. As per the high demands of Scorpio-N among the consumers, it is leading toward high waiting periods.
Asrani revealed that Scorpio-N created a record registration of over a hundred thousand bookings within 30 minutes. "The numbers were expected considering the hype and the legacy set by Scorpio in 2002. Keeping it in mind, M&M has hit the ball out of the park by unveiling the new model of the SUV with a power-packed engine", he concluded.
