

Under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has been continuously working towards strengthening and expanding industrial infrastructure across the state. The Authority is playing a crucial role in advancing Uttar Pradesh towards the goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy.
In this context, the 50th Board Meeting of UPSIDA was held on April 1, 2026, at Lok Bhavan, New Secretariat Complex, Lucknow, under the chairmanship of Shri Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development. During the meeting, a total of 34 proposals related to industrial development, infrastructure strengthening, and investment promotion were discussed in detail. The Board approved the following key proposals:
1. Approval was granted for the selection of a Third-Party Inspection Agency (TPIA) to ensure quality in development and maintenance works.
2. Layout plans of industrial areas in Kampil Spinning Mill, Mau Aima, Bahadurganj, Salempur, and Barabanki were approved.
3. Proposals related to industrial areas in Ballia, Hathras, Fatehpur, Barabanki, and Chitrakoot were reviewed, and revised layout plans were approved with necessary modifications.
4. Directions were issued to amend policies to expand the land bank.
5. A decision was taken to implement a drone-based monitoring system to ensure transparency and effective supervision in industrial areas. This system will facilitate regular monitoring of civil, electrical, and solid waste management works.
6. Instructions were issued to prepare a revised scheme for land allotment and process received applications as per rules.
7. Regarding land acquisition in Saharanpur and Badaun, it was directed that proper road connectivity be ensured before proceeding with acquisition.
8. It was decided that after 75% of the allotable land is allocated, the remaining 25% will be allotted through e-auction.
9. Ongoing development projects will continue alongside parallel allotment processes.
The Chairperson stated that these decisions will enhance efficiency, transparency, and an investment-oriented approach in UPSIDA’s functioning. This will further promote industrial investment, employment generation, and balanced regional development in the state.
During the meeting, Shri Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, stated that infrastructure projects have been financially supported by the Government, ensuring their expedited development within one year. He further emphasized strengthening transparency and fairness in the allotment process through e-auction. Additionally, it was directed that investor grievances be resolved within one month through dedicated camps.
He further added, “UPSIDA’s objective is not merely to allot industrial plots, but to develop a world-class industrial ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh where entrepreneurs can realize their aspirations on a strong foundation of technology and transparency. Initiatives like drone-based monitoring and digital services will accelerate the state’s progress towards the $1 trillion economy target.”
He also stated, “The proposals approved in the Board Meeting will not only strengthen industrial infrastructure but also enhance investor confidence. Our aim is to provide a world-class industrial ecosystem in the state.”
In conclusion, the Chairperson directed that special attention be given to road connectivity and logistics infrastructure during land acquisition in regions such as Saharanpur and Badaun. These decisions are expected to accelerate investments, ensure balanced regional development, and generate large-scale employment opportunities.
