BANGALORE: At the strike of 10 this Sunday morning, the roads of Bangalore will witness history. For the first time, Bangaloreans will get the opportunity to experience, firsthand, Harley-Davidson’s iconic motorcycles as they rumble through the Garden City to celebrate the brand’s arrival in the Indian market.
A group of riders with shared passion will ride the super cool bikes in the streets of namma city on December 6. The ride is a part of the national rally which has already stirred the hearts of bikers in New Delhi and Mumbai on August and November this year.
The group of riders will be led by Anoop Prakash, Managing Director of Harley-Davidson India, and Sanjay Tripathi, Director (Marketing), Harley-Davidson India, riding their model-year 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
“We are excited to bring Harley’s iconic motorcycles to Bangalore, where enthusiasm and passion for the brand is strong and deeply rooted,” says Anoop Prakash.
“The Founders Ride will give Bangaloreans a feel for the pure HD experience, and the arrival of our motorcycles in Bangalore is a celebration of the passion for Harley- Davidson among enthusiasts here,” he adds.
This official Harley-Davidson Owners’ Ride will unite enthusiasts who have been the torchbearers for the brand, long before the company made its official entry in the Indian market. The ride will include passionate owners from Bangalore joining executives as they ride through the city.
Riding on their super motorbikes will be city’s very own Rohit Katti, Tilak Thomas, Ashish Kothare and Nandish Pal.
The convoy will be flagged off from Jayamahal Palace Hotel at 10 am and ride towards Mekhri Circle. Dressed in their Harley- Davidson branded riding gear, the group of bikers will ride down from Mekhri Circle towards the scenic Bangalore Golf Club. The Founders Ride will then cruise down the Airport Road passing the famous Chinnaswamy Grounds and halt at the historic and magnificent Bangalore Palace around 10.30 am. The total distance to be covered during this ride is 25 km.
The line-up for the ride will include a selection of twelve motorcycles from the Harley’s 2010 model-year portfolio.
