It’S a no touch, no drug therapy, I was told by Surekha Almelkar, founder, Holistic Healing Centre in RT Nagar, before she could talk about this ancient science that reveals the techniques of using and manipulating Prana or life force. “It’s the energy treatment,” she points out, adding, “The negative energy accumulated in the chakras is replaced by the fresh positive energy.” Interestingly, the technique used here can help those suffering from BP, heart problems, diabetes, acidity, migraine, headaches, depression or any kind of inferiority complex. Pranic Healing can even help in improving one’s memory or concentration. “But it’s a supportive therapy by which I mean it can’t replace the medical science; it only increases the healing capacity of an individual to deal with various ailments. That’s why it’s also called as an alternate therapy,” says Almelkar, who has been the Pranic healer for the last 15 years.

THE ART OF HEALING

Pranic Healing is based on proven scientific principles where the healer reads the aura of the person to know which chakra is causing the problem. It’s even possible to take the photo of one’s aura with the help of ‘Kerlian Photography’ (which would cost about Rs 500 for a photo) to compare the quality of aura before and after healing. “There are 11 major chakras in a human body and it’s either the lack of energy or its abundance around these chakras that causes the problem. We just make sure that the energy surrounding these chakras is correct and positive,” informs Almelkar.

According to Choa Kok Su, founder of Pranic Healing, anyone over 16 years can learn this art. “It’s a twoday basic course in Pranic healing for which we charge Rs 1,650, and then one can do a two-day advance course in it. But one can become the certified healer by just doing a basic course,” she lets in. The last Pranic Healing Learning Workshop was in September and the next one will take place soon, she informs me.

Over the years, Alemlkar has helped in solving business issues, family conflicts, matrimonial and relationship problems. At times, she cures the person by just looking at his photograph, which is called long distance healing.

“We even solve Vastu problems without demolition or reconstruction.

Sometimes we do that without even going to one’s house or office — we do it by simply looking at the photo of the place or the energy surrounding the owner of that place,” says Almelkar, who worked as Chief Pranic Healer for five years at Ramaiah Hospital.

Pranic Healing not only cures physical ailments, it makes one stronger to deal with all kinds of mental problems. “It took my only three months to recover from an injury in my hands, which otherwise would have taken six months,” Anita tells me over the phone. Then, there was this young man, Almelkar tells me, who was so under-confident when he shifted to Bangalore from Kerala. “After only a few healing sessions, he changed completely. Today, he works with a multinational company and can discuss any issue confidently.

He is a successful man today.

That’s the magic of Pranic Healing,” Almelkar sums up. For any queries, you can call Surekha Almelkar on 080 23438436.
