HEGGODU(SHIMOGA): Ninasam Rangashikshana Kendra has invited applications from eligible candidates for its oneyear theatre course for the year 201112.
The minimum qualification is a pass in X standard. However, graduates having interest and some experience in theatre activity are preferred. Students will get boarding and lodging facilities. Fifteen students will get scholarship.
The students will be given theory and practical training in theatrics, history of theatre and drama, acting, backstage preparations and related subjects. Experts in different subjects are invited for special lectures. The institute is equipped with a library and audiovisual equipment. The students are expected to involve in theatre activity and learning at least for 12 hours a day.
Prospectus and applications can be obtained by paying `200. Last date to send the filled in application is June 18, 2011. The applications must be sent to Ninasam Rangashikshana Kendra, Heggodu, Sagar, Shimoga district 577 417. Interviews will be held on July 2 and 3, 2011 from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Candidates must attend the interviews at their own cost, according to a press release.
