On Tuesday, Dr Pawan G Agarwal, CEO of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association delivered a riveting talk on the origins and operational models of the Dabbawalas.
“We are successful in delivering tiffin boxes in an error-free manner because of our excellent time management, precision in planning and sheer hard work and dedication,” he said adding that a meticulous supply system was necessary to maintain customer satisfaction.
Dr Agarwal himself has completed a PhD thesis on ‘A Study of Logistics and Supply Chain Management of Dabbawalas in Mumbai’.
