Singer Maqsood Mahmood Ali a.k.a Lucky Ali charmed Bangalore recently, when he performed to a packed house at Phoenix Market City on Whitefield road.

With his husky and mellow voice, he enthralled the audience with such hits like Tum ho wohi, Palko me nikhla,  Kya dhundtha hai mera dil among others. But it was O Sanam, which whipped the crowd into a frenzy.

Before beginning his performance, Lucky, elegant in a salt and pepper look, said, "I am happy to be back here and singing for you all."

"What's best about Lucky Ali is that he renders some original composition. Probably that is the difference he makes to the audience; for people like us to love him," said Nischaya, an ardent fan of Lucky Ali.

"He has been the only singer who has carved a niche for himself. His music, voice and humble nature is a combination which many singers do not have," said Pranali Mukerjee, an entrepreneur.

The crowd sang and clapped, raising their hands as the front row ladies were blew kisses and shouted, 'We love you Lucky'.

Surprisingly, the singer who took the guitar for the first song, did not hold the instrument for the rest of the show. Joining him was Manoj on Violin, Subhas Pradhan on guitar, Muthu on flute and Kheny on drums.

Getting on to the film songs, Lucky sang a song from Aahista Aahista  - Anjaana Anjaani and Kyun chalti hai oawan from Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. "Thanks to Bollywood for letting me sing such wonderful songs," Lucky said. He departed with a Rock N Roll song at 10 pm.
