Dr Besagarahalli Ramanna Prathishthana has selected writer Anupama Prasad’s ‘Dooratheera’, a collection of Kannada stories, for its annual best story collection award (2012).
Pallava Prakashana of Channapatna in Bellary district has published this work. A committee, headed by critic Dr Ramalingappa T Begur, has selected the ‘Dooratheera’ book for the award unanimously.
The award carries a purse of `25,000 and a citation. Well known research Dr Krishnamurthy Hanur will present the award to Anupama at a programme to be held in Mandya on June 8. Writer Kum Veerabhadrappa will the chief guest on the occasion, a press release from Dr K Puttaswamy, Chairman of the Prathishthana said.
