The first rank in the medical stream and ISM&H was bagged by National Public School student Hemanth Amardeep Santhoor, while the second and third spots were secured by Medha Narayana Rao from Expert PU College, Mangalore and Vivek B Maleyur from Vidyaashram PU College, Mysore respectively.
Meanwhile, the top three ranks in engineering stream were bagged by the city students from Vidya Vardhaka Sangha Sardar Patel PU College with a marginal difference. Prajwal K A secured the first rank, followed by Sucheth S Kuncham and Manu S H.
Santhoor, who secured the top rank in medical stream said: “Going to a coaching centre was like a helpline for me as it made me revise the syllabus by attending tests and practicing multiple choice questions. I want to specialise in Neuro Surgery and research.”
Medha Rao, second rank in CET medical said: “CET was easy for me as I studied state syllabus in Class 12. Graduating from KMC, Mangalore, is my aim.”
Prajwal K A, first rank in CET (engineering) said, “I was poor in time management and it was CET that helped me improve it. For higher studies I would like to opt for IIT Mumbai”
Sucheth, second rank in CET (engineering) said: “Studying without power at home for the last five years was challenging. My teachers and tuitions were the best guide for me. My ambition is to work in ISRO and qualify in Electronics and Communication from NIT Suratkal.”
Manu S H, third rank in CET (engineering) said: “CET did not make much difference to me as I had prepared for IIT and it was pretty much the same for Class 12. I would like to opt either for mechanical or electronics and communication engineering in IIT Mumbai.”
Online Entry
The documents verification for students seeking admission to professional courses through CET will commence at Helpline centres from June 5 according to the schedule published in the KEA website.
The online options entry has been scheduled to commence from June 15 till June 26 according to the seat matrix notified by government. The dummy allotment will be done on June 27 and the candidates will have the option of making the last minute changes to obtain the final allotment on June 29.
