Fashion is all about getting your look right. Having a basic sense of your body type can do wonders to maintain your style quotient. Identify your body type. One way to define a woman’s body type is by identifying how her curves connect her bust, waist, and hips. Sometimes, we find ourselves in a situation where we really like an outfit but are not sure if it will really suit us. However, it is not necessary that you need to have a great body like Tyra Banks to be sexy and stylish. There are trendy clothes that can fit well on your body type; all you have to do is just train your eyes to choose clothing that flatters your shape, not an idealised form. As long as you are aware of what you are wearing, you can never go wrong. We list out a few dressing tips according to various body types:

Pear shaped: You have a pear-shaped (triangle) body if it is narrow and has sloped shoulders and large buttocks.  Your waist will however be smaller in proportion to your hips and you will have a slim torso. So, the main concern for you should be selecting the clothing style that will draw the attention away from the widest hip area and rather minimize it by accentuating your upper body. So, go for clothes that will balance your body and not glide it with shapeless skirts and trousers that will make you look even bigger. Also choose darker colours on bottom to avoid adding width to it with lighter shades of tops, thus making a perfect pair. So, pick up striking tops and bold accessories to match with your bottoms.

Hourglass or curvy: If you are the owner of the hourglass figure you are really lucky as with your body type, you can pretty much wear any style you wish, because it is quite sure that it will suit your body type. Yours is a curvy body if you have balanced shoulders that are in line with your hips with small to average defined waistline and great legs. When buying clothes, you can opt for anything that will draw attention to your waist and highlight your curves, thereby balancing your weight and height. So, wear attires that give you a perfect fit by just saying no to the ones that are long and shapeless and that will transform your bust and hips from assets into unappealing lumps. You need to just experiment with different colors, prints and textures to see what fits your persona and physique. Also don’t forget to wear high heels to make you look sexier.

V-Shape: Your body can be described as boyish or v-shaped if you possess broader shoulders in comparison with your narrow hips. Also you have smaller bust line, with less defined and average waist and slim legs. So when choosing apparels, be careful with colours and patterns, as anything too intense or huge will drown you with a smaller outline. Also, stay away from styles that exaggerate the shoulder area. With your smaller busts, you can wear any tops such as backless, v-necks, plunge necks, strapless and tanks with wider straps. However, avoid tops with horizontal lines or widening effect. As you have slender hips, any trousers will look elegant on you. Thus, select dramatic styles of clothing with accessories adding glamour to it.

Voluptuous: Voluptuous body type means people with big and bulky bodies. You need not be embarrassed about your body-type as there are many girls who have this body type. When opting for fashion apparels choose the ones that are actually made for your body rather than going for smaller sizes. Similarly, expel ultra-baggy clothes as they will make you appear larger than you really are. Vibrant colors can be overpowering, but wear big patterns, which will make you appear smaller.
