‘Reva Institute of Technology Seats Subject to HC Order’

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has clarified that admissions to 420 seats in Reva Institute of Technology, Bangalore, is subject to the outcome of a case in the High Court.

Students admitted at the institute could be moved to other colleges in the event of an adverse decision, the KEA said in a release on Monday. In addition to this, 25 seats from Srinivasa Dental College, Mangalore, have been added to the seat matrix.

Entry of options for the second round can be done till 1 pm on Tuesday. The results of this extended round will be published on Wednesday after 9 am on KEA website www.kea.kar.nic.in

COMED-K Update

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has concluded two rounds of counselling for medical and dental courses. In all, 776 medical and 766 dental undergraduate seats were available.

According to a release, in the first round in which 1,830 candidates participated,  696 medical and 621 dental seats were taken. As of July 16, 112 medical and 114 dental seats were surrendered to COMEDK before the second round.

At the same time, 80 new medical and four dental seats were added from Shridevi Institute of Medical Science, Tumkur, S Nijalingappa Medical College, Bagalkot and Maratha Mandal Dental College, Belgaum.

A total of 192 medical and 259 dental seats were offered during the second round of counselling to 1,234 candidates who participated.

 “The remaining 82 dental seats have to be returned to the concerned colleges as per the consensual agreement,” said COMEDK Chief Executive A S Srikanth in a statement.
