BANGALORE: Bahuparak, Srinagar Kitty’s 25th film, will be releasing on July 25. And the actor hopes that the film will be a milestone, both in his career as well as for the Kannada film industry. “I am not overconfident, but I must say that the film has come out very well. I consider this as the biggest film of my career – budget-wise and experience-wise. This Friday, one of my biggest dreams will hit the screens,” says Kitty, who wants many people to watch the film and go ‘wow’.

“I want lots of people to go to theatres and experience the journey that I went through in Bahuparak. I hope this film raises the bar for all future films in Sandalwood. I hope Bahuparak grabs all the awards,” he adds.

Kitty had confidence in Suni’s story since the day he heard it from the director. “This film did consume a lot of time, patience and effort, not only from me, but from the entire crew. We shot Bahuparak for a year because of my get up in the climax, which will make everybody cry,” he says.

Kitty speaks to City Express on how he went about being Manas, Mani and Mouni in Bahuparak.

Manas - The Lover Boy

As young Manas, I cheat in love. I meet two characters here – Sneha and Preethi. There is always a thin line between being a friend and being a boyfriend. Here, I am neither able to commit to love nor maintain the friendship. So I cheat both of them.

Mani - The Don

When Manas becomes Mani, he survives by doing odd jobs. However, he doesn’t find satisfaction because he only sees corruption in everything. Being surrounded by bad people only provokes him to enter the underworld. Mani does everything with a sense of purpose and becomes a don.

Mouni - The Politician

Mani then gets married and exits the underworld to become Mouni. People count on his strength and leadership, while his wife and friends suggest that he become a politician. He contests the election and fails the first time. He tries again and has his way. Ultimately, he succeeds in everything he ever wanted,  but by then he has lost his loved ones. Mouni, at 75, cannot rewind his life.

Kitty concludes, “The moral of my journey in Bahuparak is that life is more beautiful when you trust people who love you and care for you. Personally, after this movie, I believe in giving, trusting people, friendship and love.”
