SABIC Signs Deals With 2 Government Institutes

BENGALURU: Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a Saudi Arabia-based petrochemical company, has announced collaborations with two Central government institutions.

SABIC signed agreements with the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) on Thursday.

SABIC South Asia and ANZ vice-president Janardhanan Ramanujalu said, “The Indian industry is working towards the ‘Make in India’ initiative through cleaner and eco-friendly initiatives. We believe this partnership will create a vibrant atmosphere for the chemical and petrochemical industry.” Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals joint secretary Surjit Kumar Chaudhary said the collaboration between CIPET and SABIC would translate into innovations and result in rapid growth of polymers.
