Vintage Bag

Things you need

  •     Cloth of your choice or fabric that is heavy. I recycled a vintage salwar kameez that has sentimental value.
  •     Thread.
  •     Sewing machine.
  •     Twill tape for strap.
  •     Scissors.

How to

Step 1

Fold the cloth material and cut it to 15X17 inch size. If you are using two different colour materials... keep the fabrics together and cut it.

Step2

Cut the twill tape for strap (26 inches), because you will be folding it.

Step 3

Decide which side of the cloth should form the inside of the bag. Then keep both these side facing each other and pin them together on all three sides. After doing this, the cloth that should form the inside of the bag will be facing you. Now carefully stitch the pinned sides using a sewing machine. Remember to remove the pins as you stitch.

Step4

After it is done, turn the bag inside out. Iron it.

Step5

Using a washable marker, mark where you want the straps. Stitch it and you are done.
