How to do it
Step1
Draw a flower outline or just mark some points.
Step2
Using a two string thread, pass the needle from the wrong side of the cloth to the front, but remember to keep it a little away from the centre point.
Step3
Pass the needle back to the wrong side but do not take it out completely, push back the needle to the right side away from the centre.
Step4
But before taking the needle out completely, form a loop then take the needle out.
Step 5
Once the loop is in the shape of a petal, to fix it in place, push the needle from the wrong side to the front keeping it as close to the loop line as possible. Then pass it back to the wrong side again, keeping it as close to the loop line as possible.
Step6
Keep repeating the steps till you have as many petals as possible. This stitch is also called long chain stitch.
Step7
For the centre of the petal, push the needle from the wrong end to the front from the centre point. Before pulling out the needle completely, wind the thread around the needle and push it back to the wrong side, keeping it as close to the first point as possible. But remember not to pass it from the same point. And the lazy daisy stitch is done.
