DYU Art Cafe combines creativity with good taste in more ways than one
Food with an Artistic Soul

KORAMANGALA: Tucked away in a quiet bylane of Koramangala, DYU Art Cafe brings together art and food in interesting permutations.

It gives the impression of a sprawling courtyard, inspired by the Indo-Portuguese architectural style seen in Kerala. The red floors and plants add to the relaxed atmosphere.

DYU is short for Dhyuti, meaning brightness in Sanskrit. The owners of the cafe, Vignesh Venugopal, Rezvin Nazar and Sadham Ali, have been friends since their school days. Vignesh says that they were inspired by Kashy Art Gallery in Kochi which actually shared a wall with their school.

Art takes the forefront and the paintings on display are by Turkish painter Nurten Sozeri.

The vibe is friendly as Vignesh and his partners do their best to interact with their customers.  You are greeted with smiles  and the quality of the food makes up for the limited menu. The Chicken Melt, Chicken and Cheese Omelette, cakes, Banoffee Pie, Hot and Cold Chocolates are  A-listers with prices ranging from ` 100-200. New additions to the menu like Classic Belgian Waffles and Keylime Pie have also been well received. You can see people quietly reading, painting or having a quiet chat, and while away hours.

The cafe is at :
