QUEEN'S ROAD: Chhota Bheem’s tiny fans got to meet their favourite characters at The New Indian Express building on Saturday. In order to mark Chhota Bheem’s birthday party tour, popular television channel POGO created this interaction opportunity.
The lead characters Bheem and Chutki were present at the event and kept the mood upbeat by dancing, playing games and meeting and greeting their excited fans.
As kids milled around the popular characters, their parents took pictures to capture the moments for posterity.
Kids had a great time mimicking their hero and spouting some classic dialogues from the TV show.
Jeevan, a Class 2 tot from Capital Public School, said that he was happy to meet his favourite super hero and that after he comes from school, he instantly grabs the remote to watch him in action.
The good news in store for him and other young fans of Chhota Bheem is that as a part of the birthday celebrations, POGO is launching a fresh crop of movies, specials and episodes based on the most famous Indian superhero on TV.
The specials include shows like Bheem ka Birthday Flashback, Pogovengers and Dholakpur Musical Mela across May to keep the festivities going.
A few questions related to Chhota Bheem will be asked via a contest called ‘Chhota Bheem ka Happywala Birthday’ which will be telecast from Monday to Friday, 11 am onwards on POGO. Ten lucky winners will be awarded gift vouchers and will get a chance to meet Chhota Bheem at their home.
Sanjana, a Class 3 student of Sharada Shree Public School, was overwhelmed with joy after meeting Chhota Bheem with whom she danced and played games. She was also thrilled to receive gifts of candies, burgers, juices and t-shirts from her idol.
Parents of the kids were also seen enjoying the celebrations and one of them said that her daughter Annapurna, a Class 6 student, is a huge fan of Chhota Bheem and spends a huge amount of time watching his heroic capers. She said that she was delighted to bring her daughter to the event.
POGO is pulling out all stops to celebrate Chhota Bheem’s birthday all through the summer.
