First Commercial Run of New Metro Line Today

BENGALURU:  The first commercial run of Namma Metro on Reach-2 between Mysore Road and Magadi Road stations will commence from both the ends at 4 pm on Wednesday.

According to an official release issued here on Tuesday, the trains will run till 10 pm with a frequency of 15 minutes. The regular operational hours will be between 6 am and 10 pm, the release said. “The increase or decrease in train frequency will be decided on the patronage on this section,” the release added.

Reduced Services on Reach-I and II

The release also stated that between November 23 and November 28, train services on Reach-I between MG Road and Baiyappanahalli stations and Reach-II between Magadi Road and Mysore Road stations will be run only between 8 am and 8 pm. The usual timings of Metro are 6 am to 10 pm.

This is to facilitate the derailment co-efficient test for the full East-West corridor between Baiyappanahalli and Mysore Road, the release said.
