BENGALURU: A cheating complaint against Kannada actress Meghana Raj, filed by Tamil Nadu-based businessman Janardhan, turned out to be fake after police found that there was no logic in his complaint.
Janardhan had written an email to the city police commissioner stating that he was cheated by Meghana Raj. Janardhan claimed that she was his wife and alleged that she had stolen the documents pertaining to their marriage. Taking up the case, J P Nagar police questioned Janardhan. He not only failed to answer the questions but also did not know the present address of the actress’ residence.
Police said, “We did not find any logic in his allegations and he frequently changed his versions. ”
Speaking to Express, Meghana Raj said, “I came to know about the incident only on Thursday afternoon. It was a baseless allegation. I don’t even know who the complainant is.”
