When it rains, go with matte and bright pink lipstick

BENGALURU:

■ Use a matte bronzer in monsoons rather than one with shimmer. Avoid any makeup product with shimmer, sun kissed look (neutral tones of eye shadow, cheeks and lips), peach tones that reflect healthy skin are a big yes , make it all about glowing skin.

■ Outline your lips first before filling in the lipstick, to prevent bleeding due to humidity. Use creamy lipsticks which are nourishing to avoid using a gloss on top. Wearing stick lip glosses in monsoon can be very uncomfortable

■ Use a concealer followed by loose powder/ compact as a base for the eye shadow. This will make your eye shadow stay, also without creasing. Use a light weight foundation preferably a BB or CC cream. If you need to cover spots, use a concealer instead. Do not forget to seal it with powder/ loose powder to set it well. If you do not need a concealer/ foundation on a daily basis, using a compact is a good idea instead for light weight finish

■ After cleansing, toning and moisturising, always use a primer before applying makeup to make it long wear. Make sure this primer is with matte finish and lasts longer without making your skin greasy. In case if you are using a BB or CC cream, you can ditch the Primer.

■ Use a bright tone lip color to brighten your face. Avoid using any other color on the face. Glam up with eyes with The One Lash resistance Mascara which is also a treatment for your lashes so it doesn’t cause any harm while at the same time makes your lashes look fuller and curlier. When one has used a good amount of Mascara you can ditch using too much color on the face. This brightens your eyes and make it look bigger.

■ Using a waterproof liquid eye liner is one choice for winters, if you like matte finish to your eyeliners use The One Gel eyeliner pencil which is again non smudge yet dark black, perfect for this humid weather.

■ Use powder blush instead of cream/ gel ones in monsoons specially. Use powder eye shadows instead of cream, gel etc. Powder make up tends to crease less and stay longer. Lip / cheek tints are a good idea for summers/ monsoons as well, since its light weight and gives a natural hint of color.

■ Your skin pores can get easily clogged during monsoons so it becomes absolutely important to cleanse it properly every morning and night before bed to let it breathe

■ Avoid heavy makeup, smokey eyes in monsoons is a no! Fresh colours of pink, reds, oranges, light browns and nudes are great for the season.
