Techie from Odisha stabbed to death in Bengaluru

According to the police, Mishra was stabbed to death around 2.15 am by a group of unknown persons while he was on his way to his girlfriend’s place.

BENGALURU: A 25-year-old techie was stabbed to death near a chocolate factory in Madiwala, Bangalore. 

Pranoy Mishra, a native of Odhisa, died in the early hours of Monday. He was working in a private firm in the city and was living in Sudguntepalya.

According to the police, Mishra was stabbed to death around 2.15 am by a group of unknown persons while he was on his way to his girlfriend’s place.

Passers-by saw him lying in a pool of blood. The incident came to light when his girlfriend called the victim's cellphone and one of the persons present at the spot attended her call and informed her about the incident. 

Mishra's body was taken to St John's Medical College where he was declared brought dead. 

Madiwala police have registered a case and investigations are underway.

It is not yet known why Mishra was killed. Police say that it may not be a robbery attempt as his wallet, mobile phone or other valuables were not missing from the crime scene.
