HC dismisses plea to furnish probe records of  Hublot wristwatch

Justice Aravind Kumar dismissed the petition filed by Advocate S Nataraj Sharma who approached the court as the ACB issued.

BENGALURU: While asking the petitioner to get remedies under law including the Right to Information Act, the Karnataka High Court on Monday dismissed a petition filed by a city-based advocate seeking directions to the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) to furnish the records of the investigation into
the controversial costly Hublot wristwatch acquired by then Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Justice Aravind Kumar dismissed the petition filed by Advocate S Nataraj Sharma who approached the court as the ACB issued endorsement that the issue of watch doesn't come under the jurisdiction of the Prevention of Corruption Act.  Then, Sharma submitted representations to the Home Department and ACB to provide the records of the investigation into his complaint on the watch that's worth `70 lakh.
