BENGALURU: The only arrested accused in journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh murder case, K T Naveen Kumar, will soon undergo narco analysis test, as the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Gujarat has given appointment to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case.

Sources said that the SIT had written to the FSL seeking time to conduct Narco analysis.
“The FSL has replied to our letter asking us to bring the accused anytime between April 15 and April 30. We will take Naveen Kumar to Gujarat soon,” an official said.

As Naveen was allegedly not cooperating with the interrogators and was trying to hide some facts from the investigating team, the Special Investigation Team had decided to conduct a narco analysis test. On March 12, the III Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court in the city had granted permission to the SIT to subject the accused to the test, after Naveen, before the Magistrate, had agreed to undergo the test.

On March 9, the SIT had formally arrested Naveen Kumar, member of several right wing outfits, after he was in SIT custody for eight days.
