BHUBANESWAR: The second edition of Swayamshree Conclave was organised by Swayamshree programme, a collaboration among Reliance Foundation, Gates Foundation and the Mission Shakti department, here on Wednesday.

The conclave brought together policymakers, development practitioners, industry leaders, non-governmental organisations and representatives of women’s collectives to discuss key learnings from Odisha and explore ways to scale women-led livelihood models across the state through Public-Private-Community Partnerships (PPCPs).

Addressing the gathering, additional secretary of Mission Shakti department Jyotishankar Mohapatra said collective efforts were essential to achieve desired outcomes in a resource-constrained environment. He said the government is keen to replicate the learnings from the Swayamshree programme on a larger scale.

Reliance Foundation chief (women empowerment) N Deepthi Reddy highlighted the programme’s impact across seven districts of Odisha, stating that over 4.2 lakh women had transitioned from subsistence farming to enterprise-led livelihoods. She said women were increasingly adopting technologies such as solar fencing, forming producer groups and accessing institutional markets.
