RAJAN Eye Care Hospital, a super specialty eye hospital and post graduate institute of ophthalmology celebrated their 14th anniversary at Anna Arivalayam earlier this week. The events saw some big names from the city like Andrew Simkin, US Consul General who was also the chief guest at the occasion. Rev Jegath Gaspar who is the founder of Tamizh Maiyam was the guest of honour. Having completed 14 years of service in eye care, the hospital seized the opportunity to felicitate the dignitaries and also awarded a medal and citation to Dr Falcinelli from Italy who delivered the Dr N Rajan Memorial lecture.

The evening also witnessed a Bharatnatyam dance performance by Nandita Neroor. Fourteen-year-old Nandita who is an accomplished dancer was diagnosed with a major back problem, KyphoScoliosis, and had to undergo surgery and rehab post surgery, some years ago. The evening began with Nandita’s dance and then moved on to the felicitation of the guests.

Rajan Eye care was started in 1995 by the Late Professor N Rajan as a modest clinic and has grown into a hospital and postgraduate institute today.
