CHENNAI: The North Chennai police booked a rowdy under Goondas Act for the second time on Monday.
The accused Viji alias Vijayan alias Vijaykumar alias Goose Viji hailing from Tondiarpet had reportedly threatened people with country-made bombs, when the latter attempted to nab him while he was creating a ruckus at Vannarapettai, recently.
According to police, the 30-year-old assaulted the owner of a roadside eatery using a knife when he asked him to pay for his breakfast.
Later, Viji has also popped out country-made bombs against those who approached him. However, he was nabbed by the cops on patrol, with the help of a group of people. The police said the rowdy had indulged in several attempts to murder and extortions earlier.
