Usha, a charming engineer from Bangalore, met Jayanth at a party and instantly fell for his drop-dead handsome looks. After the very first rendezvous, she proposed to Jayanth, who was also attracted to her and there began another love story. The word soon reached the families of Usha and Jayanth, who took the news well and agreed to their relationship. Usha was supremely happy with Jayanth. In her opinion the two were the best-looking couple in the city, and she was eager to plan an unforgettable wedding. Shortly after their engagement, however, Usha got an opportunity to fly to Australia to do a project for her company, which involved leaving home for three months. While she was away, Jayanth informed her that he had had an automobile accident, but told her not to worry. After returning, she was shocked to see her fiancé, who was completely disfigured by facial scars. Usha was utterly flustered by this turn of events, and only now did she realize how much of her affection for Jayanth hinged upon his exquisite features. Now, the families are still interested in the proposal and are moving plans forward, but Usha can’t express her new feelings towards her disfigured fiancée. Even though she realizes that her passion towards him is no more, she doesn’t have the heart to tell him. He is already depressed about his scars.
