Director Seenu Ramaswamy, who won a National Award for his first movie Thenmerku Paruvakatru, released his book Kaatraal Nadandhen recently at the LLA building, Anna Salai. Several celebrities from both the world of cinema and Tamil literarture graced the event, which was organised by the publishers, Uyirmai.

Praising Seenu Ramasamy, actor Vivek said that not many would think of releasing a book of poems after turning a National Award-winning director. He also mentioned that some of the director's poems had created wonderful visuals in his mind.
Popular orator Suba Veerapandian said some of Seenu's poems were beyond his understanding, as he was not involved in this particular genre of poetry.
The event also marked the release of the 100th issue of the Uyirmai magazine. Other important personalities who participated in the launch included writers Indhra Parthasarathy, S Ramakrishan, Manushyaputhran (founder of Uyirmai) and actors Charlie and Vidharth.
In his concluding note, Seenu said he hoped his book would be accepted by the public in the same way that publications like Uyirmai had recognised it.
