CHENNAI: Nokia India unveiled its new retail strategy in line with the launch of its new range of smartphones, the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710. Over 5,000 retail outlets across the country will sport a new identity, focussing on the “Amazing Everyday.”
The new elements incorporate 2D and 3D elements in the store, which will enable customers to feel the experience of using the smartphone. The phones will be available in the market within the next few days. The USP of the product is said to be its seamless integration of the user’s social life, both online and offline.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipul Mehrotra, Director and Head, Smart Devices, Nokia India, said, “Consumer expectations from retail are changing today. They look beyond just the device; they are keen on trying out the services and content being offered.” He also said that the phones would have close to 1000 India-specific applications, which were specially developed for the market.
