CHENNAI: Rohan, son of NR Narayana Murthy, chairman and chief mentor of Infosys Technologies, and Lakshmi, daughter of Venu Srinivasan, Chairman and MD, TVS Motor Company, entered into wedlock at a traditional ceremony here on Sunday. It was held at the house of A Ananthakrishnan Iyer, father of late Amalgamations Group Chairman A Sivasailam.
The who’s who of Indian politics and industry participated in the event. Union ministers P Chidambaram, G K Vasan, Anand Sharma, Planning Commission deputy chairperson Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, BJP top leader LK Advani, Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan, industrialist and philanthropist Pollachi Mahalingam, Godrej Group Chairman Adi Godrej, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Preetha Reddy, Air Deccan founder chairman Captain G R Gopinath, Infosys former chairman and Unique Identification Development Authority of India President Nandan Nilekani and renowned ophthalmologist Dr S S Badrinath of Sankara Nethralaya were among those who participated. The marriage reception is slated for Monday at a private property on the outskirts of Chennai. Another reception has also been planned at Bangalore later this week.
