And for the people’s choice award wherein the listeners get to choose the winners in the ‘popular category’, the BIG Entertainment Express was flagged off.

The mobile voting booth aims to reach out to the Chennaites doorsteps and maximize voting across the various categories. The station would dedicate special features across their shows with special focus on their breakfast show ‘BIG Vanakkam’ with RJ Dheena and the evening drivetime show ‘Take It Easy’ with RJ Balaji. The gathering saw Rjs from the station Kanmani, Ophelia, Dheena, Balaji; Kalyan of Four Frames, Diamond Babu and the like.

Ramesh Bhaskar, the operations head-south, said, “Ellarukkum Vanakkam. Those are the only two words I know in Tamil,” as he laughed, as he comes form Hyderabad.

Suhasini revealed how she was part of the Kho-Kho team as a student. And Rohini who turned up a little late for the press meet said, very honestly, “I won’t blame the traffic this time. I actually started late.” As Lissy Priyadarshan was abroad, Kalyan of Four Frames, represented her in her absence. Khusboo was as lively as usual. As of now, BIG Tamil Entertainer-Phenomenon Award has been allotted to none other than Superstar Rajinikanth.

The final event will be telecast on Star Vijay. The star studded awards night will be held at Image Auditorium on March, 26, 2011, amid entertaining performances, dance sequences by movie and TV artists and music medleys by prominent playback singers.
