CHENNAI: GRT Jewellers have successfully stepped into their 47th year. Marking the occasion, the jewellers felicitated the winners of GRT Gold Fest, a contest held for its customers who purchased jewellery worth at least `5000 through master/visa card at ICICI bank terminal. While many invite celebrities to preside over such occasions, GRT had a different approach by inviting customers. Totally, 14 Scooty Streaks were given to the winners from Chennai.

Speaking on the occasion, GR Ananthapadmanabhan said, “Last year, we presented 11 Scooty Streaks. This time, we are giving out 25 Scooty Streaks. We are also planning a bigger bonanza, in terms of offers.”

Also present at the occasion was Satish Kumar, cluster head, ICICI. The winners were selected from a sea of contestants, who came up with catchy slogans in favour of GRT. While most of the slogans were brief, some of them were lengthy as well. A winning slogan by Manoj Kumbesan read, “Green tea is good for health; GRT is my only choice for wealth.” Another by Bhaskar read, “GRT is passport to fortunes, fuelling the desires.” One more read, “Pure for sure, craftsmen par excellence.”

As regards the offers in view of their anniversary celebrations on May 3 and Akshaya Trithiya on May 6, the jewellers are offering Rs 50 less per gram on gold jewellery, 5 per cent discount on diamonds and designer jewellery, 10 per cent discount on precious stones like ruby and emerald, 50 per cent discount on making charges for silver ware (except special items), no charges on ordinary stones and no making charges for gold ornaments, except diamond and designer jewellery.
