Not many in the South would remember actor Bidushi Dash Barde, who was found dead in Mumbai, for her role as Prakash Raj’s daughter in the Gautham Menon’s Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu, as her character died in the beginning of the movie itself.

However, Bidushi’s real life also seemed to have met with the same fate.

The winner of the Miss Chennai crown in 2006, who settled in Mumbai after marriage, was found in a pool of blood in her Andheri residence when her husband Kedar, a software engineer, returned from work.

The Mumbai police have begun investigations and Bidushi’s father Shantanu Dash, a Warrant Officer with the Indian Air Force, Chennai, has also rushed to Mumbai.

“We were in touch until she got married and moved to Mumbai,” said actor Vasundhara Kashyap, Bidushi’s co-contestant in the Miss Chennai pageant.

Expressing shock over the incident, Vasundhara recalled that Bidushi was “very friendly with everyone and was dedicated to what she did.”

‘Live, let live’ was Bidushi’s response to a question about the philosophy of life asked during the Miss Chennai pageant. However, fate itself has denied her that right.
