In all relationships Love is the only power which will balance the individuality and togetherness. Any relationship will accomplish the protection, only when purity of Love is maintained. When we accept the relationship, we promise to protect each other’s individuality, values and dignity. It is a vow to ourselves when we step in a relationship, to accept the other one as they are. Then we can rely upon such relationship to be present always and protect me no matter what happens. In this new millennium, with world population scales over 6 billion, such relationship and such trust is becoming rarer. Which is why we need celebrations to remind us the commitment of a relationship. Raksha Bandan, indeed reinstate the commitment to the pure relationship.
In today’s scenario, any kind of relationship between two people, is mostly an exchange of the pseudo self of both. This exchange will only result in manipulation. As two people try to reshape each other and react to one another’s personality, end up trading or fighting over to maintain the value of relationship. This ultimately leads to frustration. Both in the relationship become emotionally vulnerable to being molded by each other losing their individuality and which is why most people find it difficult to be in the relationship and break up.
Relationship means, it is not about depending on each other but, being independent strongly anchored on the individuality and yet being connected to the other by giving them the feeling of support and protection. We have created lot of habitual personality traits and use them to defend us from the situation or the other person. All our relationship are based on our personality or on our roles we play such as boss, mother, father, husband, wife, friend etc. In this way we are distanced from our essence, to an extent that the soul conscious is completely lost. We are all just the role consciousness and the relationship we maintain is to protect the honor of the role rather than the value and esteem of the soul. Relationships are thus, maintained between the roles and personalities. The originality of any soul is not one to control another, or be controlled. Hence, the relationship has of no value or protection and both move out of the circumference of the relationship.
Spirituality asserts that the profound meaning of relationship is that, the relationship is between the souls, an exchange of energy between the two entities. Such a relationship between the souls by passing the personality and roles will experience and exchange the energies of Love, peace and happiness. Our interaction will not be on the basis of our reaction to another person, or external situation and place. The intensity of the relationship is governed by the intimacy. Intimacy is developed according to the tolerance towards the other person in the relationship and accepting them as they are. In present scenario, tolerance is fast disappearing and the intimacy between the human being is endangered. Which is why it has become difficult for two people to live under the same roof in a relationship of peace and harmony?
Hence, the soul tries to align with the God, the supreme soul to experience intimacy. This is what spirituality defines as “soul Mate.” In such a relationship, soul experiences absolute protection. In this intimacy there is no threat of, exposing our naked and ugly self of our weaknesses as we strip off and let go off the personality traits. In this relationship we are assured of tolerance, unconditional love and acceptance. A The high level energy of Purity, Love, Happiness, bliss and power subtly flows replacing the volcanic eruption of Lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego.
Relationship with god enables me to realise a respect for myself. It fills me and makes me feel content, thus it liberates me from the expectations and grievances in other relationships. Realising a respect for myself helps me to understand and respect the opposite sex, as well my own gender. The trust in the relationship with God helps me to trust everyone and fear no one. Ultimately, we realize the meaning of Soul mate and realise the only bondage where purity and protection is guaranteed with out being pulled in pain and tied in frustration.
