Isha Foundation launched Project GreenHands for 2013 with the planting of 40 lakh saplings. The project was launched at Somasundaram Park and was presided over by Chennai Mayor Saidai Duraisamy, who planted the first sapling. He praised Isha’s Project GreenHands for facilitating the planting of 1.7 crore saplings. The launch was part of the World Environment Day celebrations sponsored by L&T Construction, Chennai.
