Around 400 students received their degrees at the sixth convocation of Saveetha University here on Monday.

Addressing the students, chief guest Michael Carter, Consul – Commercial for South India, Australian Trade Commission, Australian Consulate, said, “It is important to realise that the learning and knowledge you (students) have thus far acquired has not ended but begun”.  He added, “It is a time to reflect on the support and dedication of those around you who have played an important role in helping you realise the graduation goals and objectives”.

During the event M V Muthuramalingam, chairman, Velammal Educational Trust, and Prof Dr Mohan Kameswaran, founder and managing director, Madras ENT Research Foundation, were conferred with the Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa).

Chancellor Dr N M Veeraiyan and Vice-Chancellor Dr R Rajagopal were also present on the occasion.
