Chinmaya Mission, a spiritual organisation, has invited applications for Vedanta course. The 16th edition of the course will be taught free of cost and will commence on Vinayakar Chathurthi Day in Mumbai.
Vedanta, the essential core of Hinduism, is the universal science of life, relevant to people of all backgrounds and faiths. Vedanta inspires spiritual seekers to understand their own faith better. The study of Vedanta is a sacred and ancient tradition, imparted in a Gurukula setting.
Chinmaya Mission and Tara Cultural Trust, Mumbai, have invited applications to study the ancient forrm, entirely free of cost. Candidates who wish to join must be graduates under the age of 30, with a keen desire to study Vedanta.
Vedanta course curriculum at a Sandeepany Institute is intense and fully dedicated to the disciples' spiritual education and growth. The two-year residential course is standard in its syllabus and traditional in its teaching method.
The course entails a detailed and exhaustive study of the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, texts authored by Adi-Sankara,Vidyaranya and others, the six Darshanas and devotional works like the Ramayana and Bhagavatam.
The two-year residential course in English will begin from August 29.
University graduates, both men and women, unmarried and free from family encumbrances in the age group of 20 to 30 with willingness to serve Chinmaya Mission worldwide, are eligible for admission.
The selected candidates will be provided free accommodation, food, clothes, books and medical facilities.
