CHENNAI: Three persons have been arrested here for allegedly forcing gullible young women into prostitution while two victims were rescued,police today said. Raghavan, Salma and Rani were arrested from Koyambedu in separate instances, a police release here said.
The victims were rescued and sheltered in a government home, it said adding the three were remanded to judicial custody. Police said the action was taken based on information
that such persons had forced employment-seeking young women into prostitution by promising them acting opportunities in Tamil cinema and TV serials.
