Like millions of fans worldwide, we at City Express cannot get over the latest season of Game of Thrones. The past seven Mondays had us up early in the morning, all set to catch the latest episode online...yes we made it through the hackers' plan.

We spent hours discussing what could happen next, thanks to the cliffhanger episodes this season, and we were rooting for Jon and Dany to come together (incest, yes, but who cares! Look at their chemistry!)

As the dragon starts breathing ice and we need to wait till the fall of 2018 or spring of 2019, Anushree Madhavan recalls some of the most heart-stopping, tear-jerking and jaw-dropping scenes over the seven seasons of the show...

Season 1

The final moments of the first episode where Jamie nonchalantly pushes Bran off the tower made us hate him and Cersei instantly. Also, everyone who watches Game of Thrones for the first time wanted Ned Stark to sit on the Iron Throne. But, oh-so-spoilt Joffrey had other plans and he beheads our wise old Ned. It definitely had us reaching for tissues.

Daenrys, the mother of dragons, is born along with her three children. After she mercifully smothers her husband Khal Drogo (RIP), she walks into his pyre only to come out unscathed, with her three fire-breathing reptiles on her shoulders. Goosebumps!

Season 2

For a show that thrives on drama and anti-climaxes, this season was rather drab! The Starks declare war on the Lannisters and Robb becomes King of the North. Theon visits the Iron Islands and to win his father's respect he decides to betray Robb and make him pay the 'iron price'. It was in this season that those tiny little dragons first breathed fire. And their mother, Daenerys visits the House of the Undying where she sees her past, we get to see Drogo and their unborn child as well *happy tears*. Oh, the 'shadow with the face of Stannis Baratheon' killing Renly Baratheon also kept us glued.

Season 3

The Red Wedding: One of the most heart wrenching episodes of the series, it had everything from love to betrayal. It set the tone for the upcoming war. While on one hand, we were weeping watching the unapologetic murders of Robb, Talisa and Catelyn Stark, on the other we got the first glimpse of the white walkers. Oh my god they were real...aaaaand Sam kills one...Bravo! It was not just the Boltons who betrayed the Starks, Jon also betrayed Ygritte. The gritty woman struggled between her emotions, as she fired an arrow intoJon Snow's heart. And somewhere far away, Danaerys was being accepted as the queen. Remember how the slaves carry her over their shoulder calling her Mhysa?

Season 4

The biggest turning point in this season was Joffrey's death. As he lay all blue in his mother's arms, Cersei conveniently blames poor Tyrion. And everything that followed was gripping. He is put on trial and his monologue on how he pleads 'guilty' was gut-wrenching. But he did give fitting answer to everyone by killing his own father. Way to go Tyrion!

We meet Oberyn Martell, the Viper. But we had to turn our faces away when he met his gruesome death at the hands of The Mountain. We can still hear Ellaria Sand's agonising scream and that scene will remain vivid in our memories.

Season 5

If there is one thing that this season is known for it is Jon Snow dying... Jon was called a traitor, and he was killed with a dagger to his heart. We swear the next one year before the airing of Season 6 was not easy. It was not easy for Kit Harington and other cast members to keep the secret under wraps too!

We also learnt about Cersei's prophecies in the first episodeof this season and suddenly everything started to make sense. Talking about deaths, Shireen Baratheon, the sweet intelligent daughter of Stannis Baratheon, was burned alive as she screamed out calling for help. Again we reached for tissues, and cursed Melisandre. Then there was Myrcella too, who knew Jaime was her father and was okay with it. But sadly she too had to die. There was also Cersei's Walk of Shame, Arya going blind, and Sansa getting raped.

Season 6

The Red Woman is actually old and an amulet keeps her young *gasp*. Jon Snow comes alive in the second episode and goes on to hang those who betrayed them. And finally a reunion between Jon and Sansa (happy tears). Jon and Sansa win Winterfell back after she leaves Ramsay, who meets his deservedly gruesome death by his own beasts. Who knew Sansa could be so bloodthirsty!

The season ends with Cersei blowing up the Sept of Baelor and its inhabitants with wildfire. And she loses her third and only child, Tommen, who jumps off the tower.

Season 7

It's hard to choose a single moment from this season. Jon meeting Dany, The Stark siblings reuniting, Sam's bold move of curing Jorah Mormont from Greyscale, Grey Worm and Missandei having sex, Danaerys rescuing the group from the whitewalkers and losing one of her dragons in the process...there are many. But one of the most shocking of all was Jamie running towards Daenerys knowing very well that Drogon would breathe fire on anyone who touched his mom.

But thank god he was shown alive the next episode. Bran revealing Jon's real name (Aegon Targaryen) as Jon takes his relationship with Daenerys a step ahead. And #StarkSisters fooled us throughout the series squabbling and Sansa complaining about Arya to Littlefinger.

We even wondered why Bran wasn't telling anything about Petyr Baelish betraying their father. And the sudden twist in the last episode, where Arya slits Littlefinger's throat, made us sing, apadi podu podu!
