NEW DELHI: After the right wing student organisation - Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarti Parishad (ABVP), DU teachers union (National Democratic Teachers front) has also joined the protest on Tuesday at Art Faculty against the online entrance exam for Post Graduate (PG).

More than 200 students and teachers protested against the online entrance test.

“Though the Delhi University has announced the admission schedule but it seems that the authority itself is confused over the decision to whether conduct the online entrance exam or not. It seems that if the university will continue to neglect on the entrance exam, the admission will get delayed which is already late as compared to the last year” said Saket Bahuguna, National Media Convener of ABVP.

According to the varsity officials, the matter of online admission decision has been taken by the Standing committee.

To take decision on the upcoming academic session the university has to convene four standing committee meetings out of which two were canceled and in the other meetings the matter was not decided.

“We are not against the online exam but the university should think and start it in a pilot basis only in Delhi center because every year a large number of students come from rural and marginal section who don’t have any computer knowledge. Also, the university has floated tender before taking any decision. Now it has also introduced another tender” added Bhauguna.

However, DU has announced its admission schedule for UG and PG programmes but the varsity has not decided yet on the matter of online entrance test.
