NEW DELHI: As the Delhi assembly elections are coming closer, Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today released the third and final phase of Sankalp Patra of the party. Shah, while unveiling it from Delhi BJP office, announced that in more than 1700 unauthorised colonies, people will be given ownership. They were earlier not allowed to construct, buy, or sell properties, but now all permissions will be given according to by-laws of the Ministry of Housing.

He promised that youth of Delhi will be provided with 50,000 government jobs with transparency. 20 lakh self-employment will also be generated. With an investment of Rs 20000 crores, we will make an integrated public transport network.

"Every poor woman will be given a financial aid of Rs 2500 every month... Every pregnant woman will be given financial aid of Rs 21000 and 6 nutrition kits. LPG cylinders will be provided at Rs 500 and additionally, every household will be given one free cylinder each on Holi and Diwali. Free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman Scheme will be implemented in the first cabinet itself. An additional Rs 5 lakh worth of free treatment will be provided by the Delhi government, which makes it a total of Rs 10 lakh," he said

Union Home Minister Amit Shah added, "Senior citizens will be given free treatment for an additional Rs 5 lakhs each. Free of cost OPD and diagnostic services will be provided. Pensions for senior citizens have been increased to Rs 2500. Widowed and helpless women will be given Rs 3000 each per month."

"We will work to make the Delhi government a corruption-free one. SC and ST students will be given a stipend of Rs 1000 per month. Auto and taxi drivers will be given life insurance of Rs 10 lakh each, and an accident cover of Rs 5 lakh each... Women will be given 6 months of paid maternity leave," he said.

Making a scathing attack on AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Shah said, "He promised he would purify the Yamuna River in 7 years and modify it just like London's Thames River. He even said he would take a dip in the Yamuna in front of Delhiites. Arvind Kejriwal, the people of Delhi are waiting for your world-famous dip in the Yamuna. If not in Yamuna, he can go to the Mahakumbh and take a dip over there to get rid of his sins."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "As soon as Kejriwal gets bail, he pretends as if he has been given a clean chit. This is just bail, the case will go on. He cannot get rid of all the accusations by celebrating his bail as clean chit."

The BJP came up with the second phase on Tuesday last. The opposition party had announced a slew of promises aimed at students and marginalized communities if it comes to power.

The manifesto, presented by senior BJP leader Anurag Thakur, included free education from Kindergarten (KG) to Post-graduation (PG), Rs 1,000 monthly stipend for students from the SC community, besides others.

“When we form the government in Delhi, we will provide young people with Rs 15,000 to help them prepare at better institutions. Additionally, we will cover their travel expenses, and application fees will also be reimbursed for up to two attempts," Thakur had said.

"This is the guarantee from Modi Ji, a promise that will be fulfilled. We announce the allocation of Rs 1000 as a stipend under the Dr B R Ambedkar Stipend Scheme for Scheduled Tribe students studying in technical courses at ITI and Skill Centers in Delhi,” he added.

“We will establish an Auto-Taxi Welfare Board and provide life insurance of up to Rs 10 lakh and accident insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh for auto-taxi drivers. We will also offer scholarships for the children of auto-taxi drivers pursuing higher education. The BJP will offer concessions on auto and taxi insurance,” the minister had added.

“For our brothers and sisters from underprivileged backgrounds, houseworkers, and sanitation workers, we will establish a welfare board and offer them a life insurance benefit of Rs 10 lakh, accident insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh, along with scholarships for their children’s higher education. The BJP government will also implement six months of paid maternity leave,” he had further added.

Under the PM Swamitva Yojana, 1,90,000 street vendors in Delhi have benefitted, and as soon as the BJP forms the government in Delhi, 4 lakh street vendors will benefit.

However, the AAP government only collects extortion from these vendors and threatens them. Many sleeper cells of AAP continuously harass them, he had said.

Earlier on January 17, BJP National President JP Nadda had released the first phase of party's manifesto in which the party promised Rs 2,500 monthly assistance to women, Rs 500 subsidy on LPG cylinders and medical insurance of up to Rs 10 lakh to every resident.

Nadda had also promised to set up Atal canteens if comes in power, which will provide food to the poor and marginalized at just Rs 5.

A pregnancy nutrition kit comprising Rs 21,000 cash assistance will be given to every pregnant woman in the capital. Besides this, the opposition party also announced a Rs 2,500 pension for senior citizens.

He had also said that all existing public welfare schemes in Delhi will continue if the BJP is voted to power.

"The BJP's resolution for a developed Delhi prioritises the empowerment of women and the welfare of senior citizens," he said.
